"The Curse Of Crystal Viper" is the debut concept-album (CD version came out on Karthago Records) of the Polish True Heavy Metal band Crystal Viper. It's not exactly band's official debut, as Metal maniacs could meet this band already on the "A Tribute To Cirith Ungol", "A Tribute To Manilla Road" and "A Tribute To W.A.S.P." compilation albums, but in fact "The Curse Of Crystal Viper" is their first own full lenght production.
Crystal Viper is currently the only one exisiting True Heavy Metal band in Poland with an album release (not to count few garage bands), and also only one female fronted band of that kind coming from Poland! Fans could see the band on common shows with bands such as Doro, Hammerfall, Stratovarius or even Cradle Of Filth - in 2006 the band played at the Masters Of Rock Festival (Czech Republic), where they recorded a live video clip for "Sleeping Swords" in front of more than 10 000 persons.
Album got incredible feedback from both fans and press (with 8/10 points in German Rock Hard magazine) - both because of great musicianship and catchy songs in the best Zed Yago / Omen / early Stormwitch tradition, and the "back to the '80s" production - album was recorded in famous Polish Zed Studio, and produced by Bart Gabriel, known from his cooperation with bands such as legendary Lord Vader, Metalucifer, Metal Mirror and many others.
After the premiere of the album, band signed exclusive endorsement deal with the Alphard Sound Technology Enterprise - one of the leading European producers of microphones, mixers, amplifiers and other stage equipment. As both band members and their producer/manager are dedicated old Metal maniacs and vinyl hunters, it was obvious that "The Curse Of Crystal Viper" has to be released on vinyl format as well. So here it: limited edition of 500 copies on purple vinyl!
Only vinyl is real!
